We Stand Against Discrimination
South Eastern Ontario Tourism and RTO 9 are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all users. We firmly believe in promoting respect, equality, and diversity. As part of this commitment, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and discrimination on our social media platforms.
Together, let’s create an inclusive and positive digital space for everyone to enjoy and share their views.
Social Media Commenting Policy
This policy applies to all social media channels operated or moderated by South Eastern Ontario Tourism/RTO 9. It includes but is not limited to our official social media profiles, comment sections, forums, and any other interactive features.
Prohibited Conduct:
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on our social media platforms:
- Harassment: Engaging in any form of abusive, offensive, or threatening communication towards individuals or groups based on race, color, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
- Discrimination: Posting content that promotes discrimination against any individual or group based on the aforementioned protected characteristics.
- Hate Speech: Sharing content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination against any person or group based on their race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected attributes.
- Bullying: Engaging in cyberbullying or any form of online harassment that targets individuals or encourages others to do so.
- Trolling: Deliberately posting provocative or offensive content with the intent to upset or provoke a negative reaction from others.
Reporting and Moderation:
We encourage our community members to report any instances of harassment or discrimination they encounter on our social media platforms. To report such content, please use the appropriate reporting mechanisms available on each platform, or you can contact us directly at info@region9tourism.ca
Our moderation team will review all reported content promptly and take appropriate action, which may include removal of the offensive material and, in severe cases, blocking the responsible user from our social media platforms.
User Responsibility:
By interacting on our social media channels, users are expected to adhere to this harassment policy. We encourage everyone to express their opinions respectfully, promoting constructive discussions and fostering a supportive community.
Compliance:
Failure to comply with this harassment policy may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent banning from our social media platforms, depending on the severity and frequency of the violations.
South Eastern Ontario Tourism/RTO 9 reserves the right to update or modify this harassment policy at any time. Any changes will be promptly communicated on this website.
