Understanding Status Cards and Indigenous Tax Exemptions

Many goods and services in Ontario are tax-exempt, and understanding status card rights and eligibility is important for businesses and organizations who cater to First Nation customers and guests. ITO is proud of the impact we've made on the Indigenous Tourism Industry in Ontario. We've provided training opportunities for hundreds of employees, managers and owners through our Excellence series of workshops, IBA Program and guidance from our Cultural Authenticity Advisory Panel. Focusing on ITOs four pillars of cultural authenticity, product development, workforce development and marketing and branding, we hope to make a difference for our members, families and communities.
